This installation of works from the permanent collection focuses on important examples of painting made in France, or by French artists working abroad, during the decades that saw the rise of impressionism and the avant-garde movements that followed. Among the works displayed are paintings by Cézanne, Degas, Gauguin, Monet, Munch, Redon, and Renoir.
