Organized by the British Museum, the exhibition will present paintings and drawings of exceptional quality from Turkey, Iran and India, which range in date from the early fourteenth century in Mongol (Il-Khanid) Iran to the early twentieth century in Nathadwara, India. |

The paintings come from the Collection of Prince and Princess Sadruddin Aga Khan, one of the most important private collections of Persian paintings in the world. Many of the paintings to be displayed have never been exhibited before in the United States. A fully-illustrated catalogue accompanies the exhibition. Princes, Poets, and Paladins is organized at the Harvard University Art Museums by Mary McWilliams, associate curator, and Rochelle Kessler, assistant curator, Department of Islamic and Later Indian Art.
