EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

HUAM provides ongoing instruction about its unique collections and special exhibitions to museum visitors through seminars, public lectures, symposia, and gallery talks.

The Docent Program serves elementary and high school students, students from other universities, adults, and foreign visitors, with a regular daily tour in each museum, and with specially booked tours (Call 617-496-8576 to book a special tour for your group, at least three weeks in advance). It is possible to book tours of the Fogg in French, Italian, Russian, German and Spanish.

The Art Museums also sponsor a variety of educational activities related to large special exhibitions, including workshops for teachers and children and family gallery guides.

A new teacher's guide to the Busch-Reisinger Museum is available from the Department of Public Education; please see: From Modern Art to "Degenerate Art": German Culture, Politics, and the Avant-Garde, 1910 - 1948. A Guide to Teaching with Art from the Permanent Collection of the Busch-Reisinger Museum.

See the Programs and Events Calendar for more details; especially Sackler Saturdays.
