Notes:

Corfu, Greece. On a visit to the Fogg, November 3, 1965, David McKibbin suggested that the man sketching at the left is Sargent's friend and fellow artist, Wilfrid de Glehn. Wilfrid de Glehn also appears, with his wife Jane, in "Rainy Day, Corfu," a watercolor in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The Fogg watercolor is dated to 1909, when the de Glehn's were on honeymoon in Greece. 6/99: Richard Ormond agreed that this was deGlehn.
