This site was created by the department of Islamic and Later Indian Art and the department of Digital Information and Technology at the Harvard University Art Museums, in conjunction with History of Art Professor Pramod Chandra, to provide seminar students access to images of Indian paintings in the collections of the Arthur M. Sackler Museum.
To begin using the site, enter your password. Paintings can be queried below by searching under the categories of "Historical Schools," "City/State" and "Region" of origin, and "Maker." These searches can be further limited by "century." To conduct a search, select an option from one of the pull down lists under the category topics and go to "search."
