The Harvard Art Museum organizes educational art-based travel opportunities for its Members and Fellows.*

Recent Members day trips have explored the museums and architecture in Newport, RI, Worcester, MA, and the Pioneer Valley. All Members day trips leave from Cambridge, MA, and the price of the day includes transportation via coach, admission fees, lunch, and refreshments.

Fellows


Fellows enjoy curator-led day trips in New York, Cambridge/Boston, London, and elsewhere to explore private collections and to experience behind-the-scenes opportunities with leading museum collections.

Egypt & Jordan by Private Plane with David Mitten, George M. A. Hanfmann Curator of Ancient Art, Emeritus, Harvard Art Museum
This journey through Egypt’s pyramids and Jordan's rose-red city of Petra, features a four-night cruise along the Nile River, complemented by private flights between exciting destinations.

March 17–April 21
Voyage from the Cape of Good Hope to Gibraltar on Corinthian II with David Mitten, George M. A. Hanfmann Curator of Ancient Art, Emeritus, Harvard Art Museum
Explore 13 nations along Africa's west coast — South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Republic of Congo, Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Morocco — before the ship arrives at the Rock of Gibraltar, ending the voyage in historic Seville.
